Our abusive IRL father was a child groomer.
When we were young, he would repeatedly take in young teenage runaways, often who were addicted to drugs and alcohol, give them a place to stay in our home, and keep them away from their parents.
Over a series of months he would then use his leverage over them in giving a place stay, paying for them to live, etc, as a way to coerce them into having sex with him.
So yeah, when I see people say they were “groomed” and it turns out they had a slightly older rp partner for two weeks who sent them a suggestive fanart one time– i get pretty upset.
