The problem again and again comes back to fancops not understanding, and not wanting to understand, that people have experiences that are different from their own. They want everyone to be “normal”, as in “like them.”

Our father in law won’t shut up about Ozark. We had to tap out of watching it after 2 episodes because it was too intense and fucked up for us.
Fancops don’t realize that a lot of our parents and grandparents just don’t care, or straight up loooove fucked up fiction.
I can relate to antis because our parents are also controlling, authoritarian puritans who shame us for our interests. But we don’t think that’s a good thing.
