God, that comment about systems not being proshippers pisses me off. How can anyone just… invalidate other’s traumas like that? I don’t know a lot about syscourse and stuff, but me being a proshipper doesn’t make me less valid. Even though most in my system are more neutral on the matter (only one other actually actively cares about it and the rest focus on other stuff) it’s like… idk. Just feels like a really spiteful blow, you know?
It’s absolutely spiteful and dismissive; and not far out of step with the other behavior we see out of antis.
Basically, if an anti doesn’t like you, your trauma and your identity don’t matter to them, and are free game for them to make fun of.
That’s why we see lots of antis (especially on twitter) telling proship abuse victims things like “you should get raped again” and “I bet you enjoyed it.”
